The close of 2021 and the new year saw subdued trading for many in hospitality, although takeaway and delivery operators, as ever, fared much better.

As 2022 gets underway, supply chain issues, recruitment, and the impending rise of VAT to 20% come April, look set to provide further pressure. In this issue, however, there is more welcome news of new outlet openings and accompanied job creation, the success of the inaugural Pizza Week and an IFE/HRC preview.
