The group, which operates the Shah’s Halal Food chain as its flagship brand, will be made up of several diverse operators, including burger joint Smashville, Halal comfort food brand Bunify, Indian street food concept Tikka Nation and street pizza brand Pizza 1889.

Leading the group is Paolo Peretti, founder of PPG franchising consultancy; Vikas Narula, founder and CEO of Tikka Nation; and Bilal Zaman, a PPG associate and finance specialist. The trio have worked with each other for a number of years, with more than seven decades of hospitality experience between them.

Narula said: “PBV Group has been created with a singular focus – to become one of the UK’s leading multi-brand franchise groups in the QSR space. We’ve brought together the right people, the right brands and the right operational expertise to make that happen. This is about building something genuinely significant in the UK food and franchise industry.

“PBV Group gives QSR brands something that’s genuinely hard to find – a structured, experienced and well-resourced group to grow alongside. We offer site identification support, operational frameworks, shared infrastructure and a leadership team that understands the realities of running food businesses at ground level.

“For brands ready to franchise or accelerate their growth, PBV Group removes the barriers and provides the platform to scale with confidence. We’re selective about the brands we work with because we’re committed to doing this properly.”

The group currently operates three dark kitchens in Kensington, Clapham, and Battersea. It has secured store locations in Dorking, Ruislip, and Shah'srd as Shah's Halal Foods, with a fourth in Finchley as Tikka Nation. With the current negotiation of three more sites taking place. The group aims for "30 franchise sites across multiple brands" within the next five years, according to Peretti.
